At DLC we follow the biblical example of baby dedication. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, reverent and obedient parents dedicated the lives of their children to God, the Father of Creation and Giver of all life. (1 Sam 1:26 – 28, Lk 2:22, Mt 19: 13,14)

In this ceremony, parents (and family) vow before God and witnesses to do everything possible to raise their child according to God’s will, and commit to instructing their child in God’s Word and God’s ways. Among the responsibilities of this covenant are being an example of godliness, disciplining according to God’s Word, and diligently praying for the child.

Baby dedications are offered quarterly, as needed.
